Bile Salt

Our clients can avail from us high quality Bile Salt which is extensively used in bacteriological culture media as a selective inhibitory agent. It is a blend of sodium glycocholate and sodium taurocholate.

Bile Salt has a typical odor and bitter taste and is available in brownish color. It is soluble in both water and alcohol, making it suitable for laboratory and microbiological applications.

Applications:

• Used in cases of biliary secretions to assist emulsification of fats and absorption of menapthone and other substances
• Cultivation of faecal staphylococci and streptococci (MacConkey Agar CM7/7b)

Configuration:

• Reaction (20% Aqueous Solution): pH 6.0 – 7.5
• Cholic Acid Content: 45%
